Subjects of the day's workshop:
Prerequisite knowledge:
Participants will need to have taken the Intro to Quia workshop.
Content:
This workshop will continue to build upon the information from the Intro to Quia workshop. In this session, participants will learn how to create quizzes in Quia and change the various settings to suit their needs. Participants will build upon the lesson plan created in the previous section and include using a quiz as a classwork assignment in an effort to build students' mastery of the content. Participants will once again work together to accomplish this task.
Objectives:
How will this be workshop be taught:
The presentation will use a variety of teaching strategies including, instructional videos, lecture, hands-on activities, small group work, and step by step demonstration. Participants will also be given time to create the activities introduced for use in their classrooms.
Materials:
- Create the following a quiz in Quia
- Embed video, audio, and image files into a Quia quiz
- Use the variety of settings to ensure their quiz is secure
- Creating a question bank

- Participants will be able to identify the differences between the basic and advanced quiz editors
- Participants will be able to create a quiz using the various question types.
- Participants will be able to assign a quiz to classes.
- Participants will be able to change the quiz settings for an individual student.
